Our Story

Paul Fuller founded the business in 1985, bringing with him a passion for craftsmanship and a dedication to excellence. In the early 1980s, he completed his cabinetmaking apprenticeship, earning the highest possible eight distinctions in City & Guilds Furniture Studies. His skill was further recognized with three first-prize bronze medals—an exceptional accomplishment, as only four were awarded across the UK at that time.

Paul continued to advance his expertise, achieving three additional distinctions in advanced studies. In 1992, he was awarded the prestigious Licentiateship of City & Guilds, becoming a fully qualified master cabinetmaker. Over the decades, his knowledge, experience, and craftsmanship have shaped the foundation of the business.

As a true family business, Paul’s wife Ruth plays a key role as Finance Manager, while also lending her support in the workshop and on-site when needed.

In 2017, Paul’s son Oliver joined the company full-time. Following in his father’s footsteps, Oliver earned a distinction in Furniture Manufacture in 2019 and went on to achieve his Level 3 qualification. In 2020, he became the only apprentice nationwide to be awarded the Apprentice Masters Certificate in Furniture Making, a testament to his skill and dedication.
